Rules for Safety
A few rules on the farm keeps humans and animals safe and injury free. If the rules are not followed you will be asked to leave immediately. The animals on our farm recognize strangers, move slowly and calmly around them, startling them may cause them to react and possibly injure themselves or you.
- Kids under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult.
- No running, chasing animals, holding/restraining animals, opening gates/doors.
- No outside food, pets or "animal snacks" on the farm property.
- Proper attire, close toed shoes only (no sandals, high heels, wedges, barefoot, etc.) It is likely your feet will get stepped on by a goat/pig/dog.
- We encourage pictures taken with the animals.
What's included on a visit?
You will have 2 hours to interact with the farm animals and see where the animals bed down and play. Everyone will receive a small bag of goat food to feed the goat(s) of their choosing. We have goats, pigs, livestock guardian dogs, a guard donkey and chickens. Don't hesitate to ask questions. Dairy goats are the main attraction here with a milk house on the premises. You'll get chance to look in and see where the goats are milked daily (when in milk). We do not offer milking demos since we do all the milking early in the morning. Before leaving take advantage of a free sample of goat milk soap made using the milk from our goats and whipped together in the soap room here on Goat Maid's Farm.
Below is our Visitation/Tour Scheduling Form. Our Coordinator Erica will get back with you to set up a time and date. Allow 3-5 days for response.
